Storm Brought
(1816 - 26 Dec 1878)
A sudden death has occurred in our midst from heart disease. Mr. Storm Brought, many years a resident of Granger township, while out in the woods cutting down a tree, struck the last blow with the axe, let go of the helve, sank down upon his knees, and was carried to the house a corpse. He drew the last breath of life while being placed upon the sled. Dr. Albertson was summoned and pronounced life extinct.
Mr. Brought was a man that was much respected in society for his honesty in business transactions, temperate habits, and good morals. The deceased was in his 64th year, and had just rented his farm on account of ill health. He leaves a wife and one foster son, the latter arrived from Michigan two days previous to his death to take charge of matters connected with the disposal of his personal property, which was to have taken place the 28th. The funeral services will be held here next Sabbath, conducted by Rev. S. F. Watkins.
