Long-time Yoder area resident Einer Loe, 79, of 230 S.W. 8th Ave. in Canby, died Wednesday morning, March 12, at the Mt. View Convalescent Care Center in Oregon City.
He was born in Norway October 4, 1900, to Mr. and Mrs. Evan Loe and came to the United States when he was 7 years old. The family settled on a farm in the Yoder area, and he lived there until moving to Canby in August, 1978.
Mr. Loe married Caroline L. Dodge in Vancouver, Wash., December 9, 1939, and she survives her husband.
Other survivors are a daughter, Carol Loe of Canby, and two sisters, Inga Sether of Yoder and Emma Schacher of Portland.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 14, at the Canby Chapel of Everhart and Kent, with the Rev. Orville Krebs officiating. Interment followed at Zion Memorial Park in Canby.
