Myron Howard Scott, 75, of Troy, passed away on Monday, Jau. 29, 2018 at his home.
He was born on Oct. 15, 1942, in Algona, Iowa to Newton and Gladys Scott. Myron grew up with his six siblings in Iowa. After his formal schooling, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy on July 26, 1961. After his time in service, he moved back to Iowa and enrolled in college. During this time, he also worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. In 1967, he took a job with the McDonnell-Douglas Corp. in St. Louis, retiring in 1997. Myron was blessed with five children Julie, Michelle, Pamela, Christina and Neil. They were the joy of his life. Fishing, gardening, splitting wood and barbecuing were some of his many pastimes.
Surviving are his loving children Julie Scott Machione of Great Mills, Md., Michelle Scott Jones and husband David of Troy, Pamela Scott Breneisen and husband Edward of Chambersburg, Penn., Christina Scott Ashby and husband James of Wentzville and Neil Scott of Troy. He is further survived by 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his brother, Conrad Scott and and wife Sharon of Colo, Iowa, and Beatta Phillips of Athens, Ala.; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his four siblings Naomi Gronbach Richard Scott, Roland Scott and Marilyn Bonfiglio.
Interment in the Troy City Cemetery, Troy.
