Individual Details

Mary M. Neal

(1828 - 9 May 1921)

Daughter of Richard Lewis Neal & his wife Lucinda C. Gober, my ggg-aunt.

Mary M. Neal married Littleberry Holcombe after his first wife Arabella Ellen Smith Bridges (widow of Billings Bridges) died in 1867.

According to Arabella's obituary, at her death, she was 38 years of age and left behind a son (Bluford Butler Bridges) and "an infant daughter 15 months of age." Born 17 Jun 1866, Frances Ophelia "Frannie" Holcombe m. Hugh Lusk.

Littleberry Holcombe had no children with his second wife Mary M. Neal who was the only mother Frannie ever knew. After the death of Frannie's father Littleberry Holcombe in 1890, Mary lived with Frannie until Mary died in 1921.
