Capitolia Gilbert of Huntsville passed away Monday. She was 82. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of New Hope #2 Baptist Church. Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Gilbert and son, David Lawrence. Survivors include her three sons, Joel M. Gilbert of Madison, Stephen Kent Gilbert of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany and Bryan Franklin Gilbert of Pinetop, Arizona; three daughters, Judith Marion Broad of Brownsboro, Elizabeth Colleen Hands of Coca, Fla. and Janice Anita Henry of Madison; three sisters, Rhonwyn Norris and Monteen Dowdy, both of Geraldine and Bennie Lou Simmons of Gadsden; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Bro. George Way officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home.
