Allen H. Greer held many positions of trust in the county having been Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of Roads and Revenue and County Treasurer since 1873 to the time of his death in 1888; he was succeeded in the office of Treasurer by his son, C. A. Greer, who held the same for many years.
