Robert Lee Parker

Bob passed away at his Double Springs residence.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years during the Vietnam War, the United States Army for four years and for eight years in the Army National Guard. Bob was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church for 41 years, where he served as Sunday School Leader, Deacon and was former Chairman of the Deacons. He was a 1975 Graduate of the University of Alabama, attaining his degree in Criminal Justice. Bob retired from the Alabama State Troopers, after serving 22 years. He was a hard worker and enjoyed flying, gardening, hunting and woodworking.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs from 12-2 pm, where services will be held at 2 pm. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillie Mae Parker; brother, Billy Parker; and sisters, Joyce Parker Taylor and infant, Willie Fae Parker.
