Geraldine G. Schoch

GERALDINE G. SCHOCH retired from the phone company and later went into business with her husband Buck James. They moved to Boonville, Missouri as owners of MoKan Baking County for Archway Cookies. I visited my grandmother several times at this location. After divorcing Buck she moved to Half Moon Bay, California. She married William Snyder. After he died she married John Carter. John was a school Principal. They moved to Laughlin, Nevada. After he passed away she hired a driver to drive her around because she could no longer drive due to poor vision. Unfortunately, the driver, Doug Higgins found an opportunity to take advantage of her and began draining her assets. Later she fell and broke her pelvic bone. She was in a convalescent hospital in Bull Head City, Nevada. While she was in care Doug sold her condo and made arrangements for her to move in with him and his wife. She died less than a year later. He claimed that she did not want a funeral and refused to present either the death certificate or will. He said that she had given everything to him.
