Mrs. Loraine Walsh Lott, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Westminster Village Skilled Nursing Facility in Spanish Fort, Alabama. She was born in Mobile on October 19, 1917, the daughter of Richard Lucian Walsh and Margaret Duffy Walsh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor H. Lott, her parents, her sister, Rebecca W. Sparks, and her brother, Richard Lucian Walsh, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth W. Gottlieb, her children, Victor H. Lott, Jr. (Austill), and Lucian W. Lott of Mobile, and Margaret L. Howard (David) of Florence, Alabama, 8 grandchildren, Mary Austill Lott, Walsh L. Arendall, Kirby Howard, William Howard, Lucian Lott, Jr., Trevor Lott, Lucy Lott and Vic Lott, and 4 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Springhill Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2009 with visitation at the Marian Center at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 10:00a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff of Westminster Village Skilled Nursing Facility, Odyssey Hospice, and her longtime friend and caregiver, Hattie Matthews.
