Floyd Edward Ritter

Floyd E. "Ed" Ritter, 77, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at his residence. He was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Mason, Texas. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1951. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He married Bobby A. Lile on Aug. 30, 1958, in Odessa.
Ed held the Golden Gloves Featherweight Championship from 1950 to 1951.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacey Lynn Ritter.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bobby Ritter; sons, Mark E. Ritter and Scott C. Ritter, all of Odessa; two grandchildren, Megan and Carson; and one great-grandson.
There will be a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at Life in Grace Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Life in Grace Lutheran Church, 11th Street and Tom Green Avenue, with Pastor Becky Hand officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Life in Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 497, Gardendale, TX, 79758.
