Thomas Pope Fullilove, Jr. passed away at home in Waveland, Mississippi on Sunday, May 28 at the age of 79. Tommy was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana and attended Byrd High School and Oklahoma Military Academy. He graduated from LSU and was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. He had a successful career as a real estate developer and was owner of Fullilove Construction. He was a member of the Shreveport Yacht Club and was a lifetime member of the Christian Union Building in Shreveport.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Pope Fullilove, Sr. and Maude Evelyn Blanchard Fullilove. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Patricia McHugh Fullilove, his daughters, Kathleen Fullilove and Rebecca Fullilove Choate and husband John Choate, stepchildren Rene Hadley Cottrell and husband Sam Edwards III and Brett Hadley and partner Holly Neil, grandchildren Brady and Tommy Barclay, Avery and Mignon Cottrell, sisters Eva Miles and husband John and Betty Fullilove, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Payment, Shenna Newman, Dr. Elliott Black and Bob Lemoine.
A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the family home. Weather permitting, a service will be held on the beach in front of the home. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Waveland City Police: 335 Coleman Ave., Waveland, MS 39576 or the Bay St. Louis Public Library: 312 Highway 90, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
