Jim Bob Smith, 79, passed away peacefully Friday morning, July 22, 2011, at his home. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel, 500 Sublett Road, Kennedale. Visitation will follow.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, Texas 75219. Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Barbara; daughters, Melissa G. Hussey and husband, Mark, Tamara L. Robinson and husband, Wayne "Mike"; sister, Greta G. Barradas; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and numerous other family members.
