Mr. Ralph P. Williams, 79, resident of Bartlesville, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 30, 2011.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Dewey Church of Christ. Mr. Williams' son, Dr. Curtis Williams of the North Pointe Church of Christ in Murphy, TX will be officiating. Graveside service will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral services and Interment will be directed by Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
Casket escorts will include Chris Williams, Mark Williams, Dr. Curtis Williams, Mark Davis, Brooks Davis and Clint Davis. Honorary casket escorts will include Bill Wiley, Mont White, Tom Alexander and John Vanderveen.
The Williams family will receive guests at the Stumpff Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 7 P.M. until 9 P.M.

Ralph P. Williams was born August 14, 1931 in San Angelo, TX to Dallas C. and Ona G. (Lile) Williams. Ralph grew up in Brownwood, TX, receiving his education there, and graduated from Brownwood High School. He attended Howard Payne College in Brownwood for a short time. He then continued his education at Abilene Christian College in Abilene, Tx, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. After graduating he began a 40 year career with the Phillips Petroleum Company. Over the years of his career with Phillips, he was instrumental in obtaining 48 U.S. Patents for Phillips. He was widely known for being an expert in gas odorants, and was called upon frequently for his knowledge in that area.
He married Gloria N. Grindstaff in August of 1952, and they made their home in Bartlesville, where they raised their three sons. They were married for 28 years when Gloria was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 26, 1981.
Ralph married Karen O. Davis on October 17, 1986. They made their home in Bartlesville, and enjoyed spending their summer months at their other home in Pagosa Springs, CO.
Ralph was a licensed amateur radio operator, W5ZXD. He held the highest license possible, an "Extra Class" license, his entire adult life. It was a hobby that he passionately enjoyed.
Ralph was an active member of the Dewey Church of Christ. He always let his faith in God and Christ shine through in all that he did. He was a strong spiritual leader to his family.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents and Gloria. Ralph is survived by his wife Karen of the home; three sons: Chris Williams of Denton, TX, Mark Williams and his wife Elizabeth of San Antonio, TX, and Dr. Curtis Williams and his wife Karen of Allen, TX; three stepsons: Mark Davis and his wife Kathleen of Grand Rapids , MI, Brooks Davis and his wife Jill of Searcy, AR, and Clint Davis and his wife Briley of Broken Arrow, OK; and a sister, Marilyn Nickerson and her husband Luke of Queens City, TX. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, who all affectionately called him, "Grand Ralph".
He is also survived by his loving, caring, and loyal caregiver, Nicole Crouse, who he called "Sunshine".
