Edith was born in Hamlin, Texas to her parents Lewis Burl Bruner and Mattie Richmond Lefler. She came from a large family of brothers and sisters; being the youngest of nine children. Edith later moved to Oklahoma where she met and married William Eugene Keister, Sr. in 1960. She cared for Eugene when he became ill and up until his passing in 2009. In her last few years, Edith moved to Copper Lake Estates where she made many friends. Edith made an impact on anyone who knew her. She worked as a cosmetologist at North Park Mall for many years, which was something she really loved.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband William Eugene "Gene" Keister, Sr. She is survived by her son William Eugene Keister, Jr., grandsons W.E., III, wife (Ann), John Keister, granddaughter Christie Egnot ,husband Jody, sister-in-law Billie Keister and her children; Lonnie, Claudia, Keith and Carla. Edith also has many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 in the Rose Hill Burial Park Abbey Mausoleum. (If you are sending flowers, please have them delivered no sooner than Saturday 12:00 or no later than Monday 8:00 am to Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper).
