SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Artie Mae Strozier will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 27, 2009, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. John R. Williamson. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, LA.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Artie was born April 22, 1918 in Tenaha, TX and passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at Cornerstone Hospital in Bossier City, LA. She was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. Artie was a member of the Eastern Star.
Her husband, Alex L. Strozier, sister, Claudia Rolling, and brother, Harlis Wilkerson, preceded Artie in death. Survivors are her sons, James Strozier and wife, Sandy of Shreveport, LA, Teddy Strozier and wife, Libby of Bossier City, LA, Freddy Strozier and wife, Dianne of Shreveport, LA and Charles Ray Strozier and wife, Bonnie of Keithville, LA; sisters, Agnes Mitchell and Nadine Johnson; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Honoring Artie, as pallbearers will be James Strozier, Stephen Strozier, Tim Strozier, David Strozier, Dennis Strozier and Phillip Strozier. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris, James and Jeffrey Strozier.
Artie was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed dearly. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
