William James Hough

Thomas Hough and Susan Snider's fifth born and first born son was William James Hough. He was a farmer through the years. He eventually became a Yard Foreman (Boss) at a mill in Panola County. William married (1) Sarah Betty Rushin when they were both teenagers. They had seven children. Betty died from illness.
Widowed William Hough later married (2) Sarah Ritter March 5, 1891. Their children were Mertie, William A. and Cora Lee. Sarah died.
William Hough married (3) Lizzie (maiden name unknown). His deceased sister Mary E. (Hough) Latham's son, his nephew Hilman Latham had a daughter named Nettie Harvena Latham. She was William's great niece. The family was close. Nettie Latham married Charles Washington Graves, owner of a ranch known as Graves Ranch in the area. William Hough died January 21, 1915. He was laid to rest in their small family Graves Cemetery which was on their land.
William Hough's resting place does not have a marker in 21st century. There are remnants where the ranch was nearby these many years past. A few years later William's great niece Nettie Latham Graves died, age 38, November 26, 1919, and was laid to rest there.
