William Lawrence Hudson

W.L. Hudson, 76, who came to Roff, then in Indian Territory, in 1900, and twenty years ago moved to Holdenville, died of a heart attack in that city Thursday evening.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 2 from the Roff Methodist Church, burial in East Hill cemetery. A nephew, Rev. Lowell Hudson, of Sulphur Springs, Tex., will assist Rev. Earl Stark of Holdenville.
Mr. Hudson was born in Fort Worth, Tex., in 1874. He came to Roff at the turn of the century and remained there about 30 years. Until he retired he was engaged in farming.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Hudson; daughters, Mrs. Edith Berryman of Holdenville and Mrs. Fay Barton of Doyle, Calif.; sons, H.H. and Bert of Holdenville, Lois Hudson of Oroville, Calif., Bill and Lloyd Hudson of Ashland, Ore.; sisters, Mrs. Minnie Shaffner of Sparks and Mrs. Alice Warren of Ballinger, Tex.; brothers, John of Roff and George of Okemah; 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
