Larry Lee VanOstran

Larry, born to Edward and Monabella Van Ostran; died Monday. He served in the U.S. Army as a Marksman. He retired from General Motors Corp. with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and tending to his flowers. He loved spending time with his pet parrot, Bo, and the blue birds outdoors too. Most of all, he cherished his time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Frances (Wells); his 5 children, Carrie (Bob) Harris, Brian (Brenda), Warren (Ida), Mark (Marina), and Pam (Jim) Marshall. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Phylis (Dale) Brown, Jean (Mike) Grayhek, Joyce Adams; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, East Lansing with Pastor Mike Hixson of Graham Community Church officiating. Contributions may be made to the D.A.V. of Michigan, Owosso Chapter in memory of Larry.
