Frances Emeline "Frankie" Hammon
(29 Apr 1851 - 30 Sep 1901)
Franklin Democrat, Friday, 4 October 1901, pg 5
A Christian Life Closed – Mrs. Frances Hall, wife of Dr. H. J. Hall, after a lingering illness of many months from cancer of the stomach, passed away Sunday morning at 6:10 o’clock.
Mrs. Hall was a most devout Christian lady and her death removes from our midst a most earnest and conscientious Christian worker. In the church and Sunday school she labored unceasingly and was one of the leaders in every good undertaking. For many years she had been president of the W.C.T.U. and her efforts in that direction were untiring. She was a great lover of children, and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the three motherless children and grief-stricken husband.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. C. R. Hudson. He was assisted by Rev. E. L. Frazier, who was pastor of the Christian church when Mrs. Hall first became a resident of Franklin. Burial at Greenlawn.
