Funeral services for Mrs. Helen L. Cassidy "Mimi" Ledford, age 85, of Ruston, LA. will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Rev. H. B. Fuller and Rev. Mike Holloway will be officiating with interment to follow at Cook Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.
Mrs. Ledford was born on November 12, 1921 in Vernon, LA and passed away on December 20, 2006 at her residence in Ruston. She was a loving mother to five children and her hobbies included: gardening, needlework, an avid Lady Techster fan, and a Gold Star Mother. Mrs. Ledford was a long-time active member of Cook Baptist Church where she was involved in children's activities for over 58 years. Mrs. Ledford was preceded in death by a son, Steve Ledford.
Mrs. Ledford is survived by her husband of 65 ½ years: Thomas B. Ledford, Sr. of Ruston; Children: Tommy Ledford, Jr. and wife, Sue of Ruston; Charlotte Davidson and husband, George of Ruston; Rene Womack and husband, Richard of Ruston; and Benice McGee and husband, Cecil of Maumelle, Arkansas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Bryan Ledford, Steven Davidson, Terry Davidson, Larry McCullin, Bobby Mizell, Mike Matkovich, Jimmy Ledford, and Charlie New.
