Larry James Shepherd, 64, of Rupert, Idaho, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at his home.
Larry was born July 4, 1947, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the son of Floyd and Margaret McCabe Shepherd. He was raised and educated in Twin Falls County. He graduated with an associate's degree from Idaho State University. Larry married Cricket Eshelman on Aug. 13, 1977, in Pocatello, Idaho. Following their marriage they moved to Rupert, where Larry operated Shepherd Construction Company for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Cricket on May 4, 2009. Larry is survived by his sons, Jason (Alissa) Shepherd of Twin Falls and Duff (Petra) Wagnon of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three grandsons, Austyn Shepherd, Elliot Shepherd and Brody Wagnon; one brother, Terry (Marje) Shepherd; and two sisters, Diana (George) Urie and Joy Hill .
A memorial service for Larry will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Paul Congregational Church. Arrangements are under the direction of White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park" in Twin Falls.
