In 1920 George L. Byrum's name becomes Roy L. Byrum but all the other census entries for his family confim this is George. He farms a rented general farm. He and Sadie have one son Clifford, age 5, and Sadie's mother, Anna Ivory, age 72 lives with them.

By 1930 Sadie is missing. George and his son Clifford live on the rented general farm. George says he is married, but no female lives with the father and son.
