Thomas Jefferson Hunsucker, 99 years young, was called home Friday, March 29, 2002.
He was born Jan. 5, 1903, in Wichita, Kan. He was the sixth child of his parents, Jefferson Beaugard Hunsucker and Cynthia Anne Tuttle. Thomas lived in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas. He and his family lived and worked on the Kincaid Ranch in Wichita.
Thomas married his sweetheart, Cynthia Laverna Stores May 7, 1927, in Wichita. They had one daughter, Francis Leona Hunsucker Downing Gentry. They made their home in Wichita until 1945 when they moved to Payette, Idaho. They lived there until they moved to Bonners Ferry and then to the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley in 1979.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, walking, junk collecting and telling stories to his grandchildren. Thomas and Cynthia had six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife and daughter, one grandson, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lewiston.
