Roy Don “R.D." Thompson of Stinnett, died Saturday, August 11, 2018. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 15 at the Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Roy Don was born November 6, 1952 in Amarillo, TX to Orin E. and Reba (Smith) Thompson. He was a lifetime resident of Stinnett and a member of the Church of Christ of Stinnett. Roy Don married the love of his life, Linda Eubanks on January 28, 1972 in Stinnett. Roy Don loved watching sports, gardening and especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter McKenna Barker.
Roy Don is survived by his wife Linda; son, Britt Thompson and wife, Lena of Borger; daughter, Shea Barker and husband, Patton of Borger; sisters, Cheryl Coiner of Stinnett and Glenna Guerrero of Coleman, TX. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Tanner, Nathan, Caden, Brady and Abby.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Christine Shields, Gary and Laura Conaway, Teddy Buckland, Carl Holliday, the Thompson family, Kathleen Bartley, and Lisa Reed.
The family will be staying at 612 Elm St. in Stinnett.
