TEMPLE, Okla. - Ruby Louisa Stewart Hale, 93, of Temple died Monday, July 13, 1998.
Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Temple with the Rev. Benny Gresham officiating. Burial was in Temple Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hale was born June 23, 1905, in Courtney Flat, Okla. She and Herman Hale were married Dec. 7, 1924, in Davidson, Okla. He died May 15, 1968. She moved to Taylor, Okla., in 1907. She attended church at Nondenominational in Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of the Better Homes Club. Her home was the voting poll location for Taylor Precinct, and she was precinct worker for more than 25 years. She left Taylor in 1968 and became a house mother at Cameron University in Lawton, Okla., where she remained for two years. She moved to Temple in 1977.
Survivors include a daughter, Pattye Jeanne King; a son, Bobby of Temple; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
