Obituary for Dolores Nell Todd
Dolores Nell Todd, age 87, went to be with the Lord March 12, 2020 after a long illness. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 20th 10:00 AM at San Fernando Cemetery III.
Dolores was born November 17, 1932 in O'Donnell, TX to Lyle D and Ruth Irene Pugh. The family moved to a small farm in Lytle, TX in 1940. She graduated from Natalia High School and moved to San Antonio where she worked at the San Antonio Light newspaper. She met her future husband, Royce, who also worked there. They married April 12, 1952 and were blessed to celebrate 60 years together. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Her faith played a large role throughout her life and in particular as a pastor's wife in many churches, including several that they helped to establish. She garnered a multitude of friends because of their church involvement.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Royce A. Todd, her daughter, Becky Horst, and grandson, K C Armstrong. She is survived by her children, Betty L. Armstrong, Barbe N. Schmidt, and Royce A. Todd II, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Beverly Burns, brother-in-law, Jack Burns, brother-in-law, Royal Todd, a niece and nephews.
Her family paid this tribute to her: Her faith was immutable to the end, a bright beacon to all. She was known to always say, "I am so blessed. God is so good.”
