Linda Ann Evans
August 29, 1943 - June 17, 2020

Linda Ann Evans, age 76, of Hamilton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Piedmont Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA. She was born August 29, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Frank and Monroe Littlefield. They moved from New York to Phenix City, AL before finally settling in Harris County, GA.

Linda attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hamilton, GA, until the church’s closing. She was a Christian woman who loved God and loved nothing more than being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker.

Linda looked forward to her yearly trips to Nashville, TN. and Panama City Beach, FL. with her husband and family. For over 30 years, she loved to go camping with her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Evans, and some of their closest friends/family. She loved going to the beach at Callaway Gardens and on shopping trips with her daughters. She also loved her monthly dinner nights with her son. She enjoyed attending several family reunions every year. She never met a stranger; she loved meeting new people everywhere she went. Her husband and her family was the most important thing in the world to her; there was not a day that went by that she did not talk to her children. She dedicated her life to being the best wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend that she could be. Linda was very active with all of her family and loved being with them as much as she could.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Monroe Littlefield, and her brother Eddie Littlefield.

Linda leaves behind her loving and devoted husband Jimmy Evans, beloved daughters Telina (Dennis) Spence, Sheila (Bart) Mace, and son Norman Evans, all of Hamilton, Ga. Her grandchildren Stephanie (Porter) Haskell and great grandchildren Aleck and Ella, of Hamilton, Ga; Chaz (Brittany) Mace and great grandchild Harper, currently of San Antonio, TX; and Avery (Taylor) Mace, currently of Wichita Falls, TX.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, “adopted children/grandchildren” that she loved as if they were her own, and her many, many friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her; gone, but never forgotten, and always loved.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton Cemetery.

All memorial donations for Linda can be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, Scottish Rite Hospital, or the Hamilton Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 342, Hamilton, GA.
