AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Marvin Daniel (Dan) Tucker, Jr. 64, husband of Mrs. Susan B. Tucker of Pine haven Road, Augusta, Ga. entered into rest Sunday, January 8, 2006 in the Medical College of Georgia. Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. from Burns Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Bill Burch and Mr. Jim Goolsby officiating. Mr. Tucker was a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and had made Augusta his home for 25 years. He was a retired hairdresser of 18 years and had been the manager of the Sears Beauty Salon. Mr. Tucker was an alumni of the University Of Alabama where he was a voice major. He also served several churches as choir director. Mr. Tucker was a member of the Burns Memorial United Methodist Church, the church choir and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Additional survivors include two sons, Marvin D. (Trey) Tucker, III and Beth of Augusta and William T. (Tap) Tucker and Allison Kent of Columbus, Ga.; one granddaughter, Raychel Eron Tucker of Augusta; two brothers, George Wayne Tucker of Summiton, Ala. and Harvey Neal Tucker of North Port, Ala. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Memorial contributions may be made to the Burns Memorial Building fund 2372 Lumpkin Rd. Augusta, Ga. 30906.
