Oscar was the son of Hester and Oscar Lorenzen. He married Nellie Ellen Crisp in 1936. In 1944 they each advertised publicly they would not by liable for the debts incurred by the other, and they duly divorced later that year on the grounds they had been separated for more than 3 years. He passed away in 1959 age 45.
