Joe Thomas Sneed 50, of Clovis, NM died Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Central Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Boydstun officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Cody Boles, Taryne Richardson, Joe Simmons, Seth Simmons, Augustus Morris, and Jesse Sneed. Honorary pallbearers will be all his BNSF Brothers and Sean Sung.
Joe was born March 19, 1964 in Blanchard, OK to Vernon Doyle and Leretha (Hopkins) Sneed. He married Shannon Pfalzgraf November 20, 1999 in Electra, TX. Joe worked as a Conductor at BNSF Railroad and was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family, grandchildren, and friends. He loved cooking, gardening and his border collie, Annie. Joe was always willing to help anyone in need. His children will always remember the way he truly loved his wife, Shannon.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Sneed of the home; two sons, Jesse Sneed of Greenville, TX, and Augustus Morris of Clovis, NM; four daughters, Lindsey (Cody) Boles of Clovis, NM, Kelci (Taryne) Richardson of Clovis, NM, Kristen Stevens of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jennie Hertwich of Frankfurt, Germany; two brothers, John (Teresa) Sneed of Durant, OK, and Mark (Kelly) Sneed of Blanchard, OK; two sisters, Jinny (Phil) Walton of Oklahoma City, OK, and Ellen (Bo) Kimbrell of Blanchard, OK; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Leretha.
