Wilma L. Spearman, age 84, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away May 19, 2015. She was born January 3, 1931, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Lonnie and Louella (Womack) Smith.
Wilma was one of nine children. She loved her dogs and contributed to many dog activities and Christian organizations. Wilma was an avid gardener. She was a Christian and her first love was the Lord.
Wilma is survived by 1 daughter, Sharon Howard, of Irving, Texas; and 1 brother, Carl Dean Smith & wife, Linda, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Spearman; and 8 brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Wilma’s name to the Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, 4500 24th Ave NW, Norman, OK 73069. Funeral Services for Wilma will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 21, 2015, in the Chapel of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Norman IOOF Cemetery, Norman, OK. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home.
