Harold Gene Bice

On November 5, 2017, Harrold Gene Bice passed away peacefully while stepping from the arms of his family into the arms of Jesus. He lived in Royal, Arkansas, but was a very proud Texan.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Rose Callahan; his father, Joe Henry Bice; his mother and father-in-law, Troy and Lillian French; and one brother-in-law, Troy Lee French.
He is survived by his wife, Sadie Sharon Bice; two daughters, Stephanie Ann Wehunt (Ricky), Holly Christina Howell (Dean); grandchildren, Austin Daniel (Kandace White), Destiny and Brad Loyd, Madisen and Jarod Martin, Taylor Humphreys, Lakyn Stoddard; two great-grandchildren, Riley Loyd and Kenley Daniel; stepfather, Paul and Helen Callahan; one sister, Sue Sims (Eldon); one twin brother, Harry Dean Bice (Sandy); one brother-in-law, Truman French (Delores); a sister-in-law, Carolyn French; many nieces, nephews and his best friend Sylvester, his cat.
He is a member of Mountain Pine First Assembly of God Church and a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was a chaplain for DAV Chapter #5.
He was a hard worker and provided well for his family, being employed at General Cable, Pirelli Cable and retired from Keith Smith Feed Mills.
He had very long and hard journey, but always seemed to keep his funny, joking personality. He was always making friends where ever he went and they would always acknowledge him by saying, “Here comes trouble.”
We would like to honor his many DAV friends, church family, the Pines Nursing and Rehab, and Arkansas Hospice.
Services will be held at Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 PM.
Burial will be in North Little Rock at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 11:00 AM. Military honors will be by Post #2278 of Hot Springs and the United States Army Honor Guard.
