Waco Williams
(4 Oct 1924 - 23 Jan 1986)
Parents:
Joseph Glen Williams 1875–1925
Malinda Elizabeth Norman Foster 1901–1985
Waco Williams* was born 4 October 1924 in Calico Rock, (Izard Co.) Arkansas to Joseph Glen and Malinda Elizabeth "Linnie" (Norman) Williams. He was the youngest of their three children.
On 2 May 1946, Waco was united in marriage to Flora Etta (or Floretta) Hardesty** in Eddy County, New Mexico. To their union two children were born: Bonnie Sue Williams (b. 1946; d. 1987) and Jimmie Glen "Jim" (b. 1948; d. 2001).
Waco suddenly passed away 23 January 1986 at the San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, (San Juan Co.) New Mexico.
A funeral service was held for Waco at 10 am on 27 January 1986 at the Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington. He was subsequently interred in the Bloomfield Cemetery*** in Bloomfield, (San Juan Co.) New Mexico.

*Note 1: Yes, Waco IS really his first name. No, he did NOT have a middle name. I have verified BOTH of these facts with his youngest sibling (my grandmother).
**Note 2: At some point, Flora changed her name completely and started going by the name of Rita Marie Rozell. I haven't yet been able to get the entire story out of remaining family members as to WHY this happened.
***Note 3: I realize his obituary states he was buried in a different cemetery (in Farmington). However, per the book "Cemeteries of San Juan County, New Mexico, 1986 through 1999: Udate of Volume 1" compiled by Noreen Ayres Craig and published by the Totah Tracers Genealogical Society (on page 33), Waco's cremains are buried here in Bloomfield Cemetery.
