Services are pending with West Funeral Home for Clifford L. Whygles, 58, 2406 W. Texas St., who died in a local hospital Monday.
He had lived in Carlsbad since 1935. He had been employed at U.S. Potash Co. for 21 years, before retiring in 1973. He was a member of Cavern Baptist Church and a life member of Disaled American Veterans, Chapter No. 30.
He was born in Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include the widow, Mary Martha, Carlsbad; mother, Jewel Whygles, Carlsbad; two sons, Thomas Leroy, Muleshoe, Tex., and Sepc. 4 Joseph Elbert, Germany; one step-son, Casey Glenn Bush, Carlsbad; one step-daughter, Lana Lorene Bush, Carlsbad; one brother, Fletcher, Carlsbad; one sister, Juanita Funk, Carlsbad, and four grandchildren.
