Sioux Falls – Lila Spaid, 98, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Covington Heights Nursing Home in Sioux Falls, SD.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2007 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, at George Boom, with burial to follow at Hills of Rest Memorial Park.
Lila Dunlap, the daughter of William and Alpha (Devers) Dunlap was born June 4, 1909 in Crooks, SD. At four years old she moved to Ellis, SD and stayed there until she got married and then moved to Sioux Falls. She attended rural area school at Ellis.
On June 6, 1928, Lila was united in marriage with Everett Spaid in Ellis. Lila was a homemaker. Everett died on January 14, 1980.
Lila was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; son, Burl; twin sister, Lula Clapper; and two brothers, Bob and Raymond.
