Kendell Keith Cooke

Kendell "Kenny" died at Baylor Hospital after a short illness on Dec. 22, 2009. He was born June 17, 1965, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He graduated from Moore, Okla., High School and received an associate's degree from Tyler Junior College as a radiology technician. He later received a Bachelor of Science in business management. He was a resident of Tyler and was employed by Medrad as an application specialist for the past 10 years. He was a devoted father, son, brother and friend. He particularly enjoyed attending his son's and daughter's football games, dancing recitals and cheer competitions. At other times he enjoyed watching college and pro football. He was a fan of the Cowboys and Saints and Texas A&M.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry D. Cooke, and grandparents, Leo and Margaret Floyd and Elmer and Martha Cooke.
He leaves behind the mother of his children, Donna Ward Cooke, son William Tanner Cooke and daughter Jordan Fayth Cooke of Whitehouse; his stepfather and mother, John and Faye Cantrell of Tyler; brother and wife, Randy and Angie Cooke of Hugo, Okla.; sisters, Cathy Cooke of Broken Bow, Okla., and Erin Mansour and husband Dr. Shawn Mansour of Spring; and best friend, Bryan Matzke of Nacogdoches; many friends, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Kenny loved life and was a bright spot in all our hearts and we will miss him greatly.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at Central Baptist Church, 6153 New Copeland Road at 2 p.m.
