Memorial services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, December 27, at Hillier Funeral Home. Marshall was born on September 20, 1919, in Houston to Marshall Sr. and Ethel May (Matthew) Bethel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Ethel Bethel; wife, Marjorie "Peg" Bethel; son, Wayne Bethel; and stepson, Larry Ireland. Survivors include his son, Marshall "Skip" Bethel; stepdaughter-in-law, Vernell Ireland; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a step-grandson and wife, and a step-great-grandchild.
