Sidney Harold Helmling Harder was born in 1890 in Christchurch, New Zealand. He was the son of Florence Alexandra and Peter Helmling Harder. He later adopted his middle name (and presumed actual family name?) as their family name. He married Rosina Elizabeth Violet, and they had two sons: Keith Harold Helmling & Peter Helmling. He passed away 12 Nov 1960 age 70. He is buried at the Bromley Cemetery in Christchurch City, Canterbury, New Zealand.
He had a cousin living in Glassboro, Gloucester County, New Jersey, named G. Keebler in 1925.
