(LAFAYETTE) Beth Stephens, 88, of LaFayette died Friday, March 24, 2006, at LaFayette Nursing Home.
Services were at New Hope Christian Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, with interment in Milltown Cemetery. The Rev. Dee Dowdy and the Rev. Bridget Dowdy officiated.
Mrs. Stephens was born in the Abanda community of Chambers County on Jan. 22, 1918. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne Stephens of LaFayette and Don Stephens of Jackson, Tenn.; two sisters, Virginia Sims of Foley and Fay Walters of LaFayette; three grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dwight Walters, Sidney Walters, Alan Sims, Doug Ozley, John Milner and Lee Hayes.
