Death of Mr. Lewis Allen.
The many friends here of Mr. Lewis Allen were shocked to hear of his death, which occurred in Opelika last Thursday morning at 7 o’clock. Mr. Allen had been in bad health for some time, but his condition was not thought to be serious, and his death was very unexpected.
The remains were brought here Saturday morning and interred in the cemetery at this place, Rev. C. J. Burden conducting the funeral services.
The deceased is survived by his wife and one child, and two brothers, Messrs. Lee and O. A. Allen, of Opelika.
