Mr. Davis was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Abra to Chleo and Opal Davis. He grew up on a ranch south of McLean, where went to Enterprise School on the same ranch. He graduated from Samnorwood High School in 1947 before joining the Army in January 1949. He then married Peggy Clement on July 9, 1950.
After joining the Army, he was sent to the Korean War in October 1950. After returning from Korea, he went to Southern Methodist
