John Harvey Kilmartin Jr., 74, of Muskogee, passed away Friday June 17, 2011, at the Muskogee Regional Medical Center. John was born April 17, 1937, in Osawatomie, KS. John grew up in Muskogee where he graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved to play baseball, bowl, and golf. He was a retired brick mason and actively participated in the local brickmasons union. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. John was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Vonda Mills. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; one son, Wesley (Merry) Zollars of Porum,; two daughters, Donna (Charles) Harkins of Porum and Lisa (David) Smith of Muskogee; son-in-law Terry Mills of Denton, TX; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many other relatives, friends and loved ones. A graveside service for John will be 10:00 am Monday, June 20, 2011, at Elm Grove Cemetery with Sister Margaret Hatchett officiating.
