"The DAR genealogists approved my supplemental application for Sims Brown (1760-1822) as a Patriot. Further info is from the Sims Brown biography (which includes more Wilson info) and corresponding facts otherwise. I am happy to send you page copies if you wish. Per the Sims Brown biography, Margaret Wilson Caldwell's parents were this Francis Wilson (1778-1836), who married Sarah Brown Wilson (1788 - 1833) (daughter of Sims Brown and Mary Baldrick) was the son of James Wilson, Sr. (1742-1841) and Janett __ (1756-1826)."

There may be a copy of his biography in the Newberry (South Carolina) Library genealogical room. For some reason, the spine says Simms Brown whereas his name everywhere in the book and on his tombstone is Sims.
