FRANKS William Curtis Franks, Sr. passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2009. Beloved father of Andrea and William, Jr. and their mother, Maria Franks; grandfather to Lexus Franks and Sophia Villar; son of William Norman Franks; and brother of Paula Franks. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Elizabeth Pennington Franks. Age 60 years, he was a native of Birmingham, AL and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 30 years, he was a United States Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Wednesday will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment with military graveside honors will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
