DALLAS IVORY, 67, of Otter Lake, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at home with his family by his side.
Dallas was born February 28, 1950, in Flint, to Earl and Addie (Matheson) Ivory. On August 10, 2005, he married Brenda Mackie in Las Vegas. Dallas proudly served his country in the United
States Army. Dallas started hauling milk, then he worked for Jackson
Brothers and retired as a Teamster car hauler for Allied Systems. Dallas was a member of the North Branch American Legion Post 457. Dallas enjoyed farming and going to the casinos. He loved his John Deere tractors. Mostly, Dallas loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Dallas is survived by wife, Brenda; children, Samantha (Chris) Tarabek of Brown City, Tanya (Rick) Primeau of North Branch, Teresa (Jeff) Morris of Lapeer, Brian Ivory of Lapeer, Jesse Ivory of Flint and Freddy (Diana) Wiechert of North Branch; brothers, Terry Ivory of Florida and Bill (Karen) Ivory of Germany; nine grandchildren, Patience and Paxton Ivory, Logan and Brant Primeau, Kameren Morris, Kyler and Morgan Wiechert, Mariya (Dustin) Francesconi, and Felicia Jostock; niece, Shannon (Kevin) Castle; and nephew, Ian Ivory.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and cousin, Doug Matheson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Darlena Bates for all her help taking care of Dallas.
Memorials may be made to the North Branch American Legion Post 457 or to the family.
Funeral service took place on Thursday, March 16th, at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Hutchinson officiated. Military Honors were conducted by the North Branch American Legion Post 457.
