John F. Kemman, M.D.Born in La Grange Park, IL October 31, 1929, died on June 21, 2011 in Puyallup, WA after a brief illness.
After undergraduate studies at the University of New Mexico he received his medical doctorate from the University of Illinois ??Chicago. He served as doctor in the Army in Cambodia then practiced family medicine in Sumner, WA for over three decades. He delivered hundreds of babies and cared for thousands of patients. After retirement he and his wife Shirley travelled extensively visiting all the continents. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, numismatism, bridge and had a joke for every occasion.
John is survived by his wife of almost fifty years, Shirley; daughters Jeannie Kemman and Kay Kemman; sons Randy Kemman (Isabelle) and Rick Kemman; grandchildren Brad Bachmann, Merissa Johnson (Simon), Gwen Bachmann, John Z. Kemman, Louise Kemman and Brent Barber; sister Jean Zimmermann of La Grange Park, IL, three nieces, one nephew and many, many dear friends and relatives.
The memorial service will be held at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 3505 122nd Ave. E, Edgewood, WA on Saturday June 25 at 11AM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Edgewood Community Food Bank at the same address.
