Alice Louise Boone, 101, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2010.
Graveside service: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Alice was born March 5, 1909, in New Orleans to Maurice and Agnes Bethea. She moved to Fort Worth with her parents and siblings when she was 9 years old. She graduated from Central High School in 1927 and was employed at Texas Electric until her marriage in 1933 to M.G. Boone. They moved to Ponca City, Okla., in 1956 and upon Mr. Boone's retirement returned to Fort Worth in 1966. In 1978 they moved to Burleson. She was a lifelong Methodist and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Burleson for some time.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, Maurice Jr., Robert and Rey.
Survivors: Sons, Jerry and wife, Cissy, and Dan and wife, Teresa; four grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
