Herbert Hugh Matheson
(2 Sep 1878 - Feb 1961)
Funeral services were held held Thursday afternoon at the West Deerfield Methodist Church for Herbert Matheson, 83, life long resident of the community. Mr Matheson died Monday at his residence following an illness of several weeks.
Reverend R. Kyle Ballard officiated with burial in West Deerfield Cemetery.
Surviving are seven sons, Donald, Leo, Tom and William all of Flint. Archie of Mt Morris. Guy of North Branch, and Chet of Fostoria; four daughters Mrs Margaret Wells, Columbus. Ind., Mrs Marian Bard, North Branch. Mrs Marie June and Mrs Addie Ivory, both of Fostoria, and 29 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
