Anita Eugene Wilson

Anita Nelson, age 92, of Round Rock, was called home on December 18, 2017.
She was born to H. L. Wilson and Alice Greenhaw Wilson of Lamesa, Texas on March 20, 1925. They both preceded her in death. Nine brothers and five sisters also preceded her.
She married Marvin Nelson on June 30, 1942. Together they traveled all over Europe and visited 49 of the 50 States. She loved to travel, but she said her heart was happiest in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She always felt “it called her”!
Anita loved life. Everyone who knew her well liked to talk about her great sense of humor. She was always the “life of the party” wherever she went.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. After the birth of Tyler, her great grandson, she became Nee-Nee to her family. She was the vibrant, charming, full, rich music of our family. We are better for loving her and are out of step without her. May flights of angels sing you to rest and may the music you hear be eternal.
She was a member of the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin. She will
be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her daughter, Marlyn Hooper and husband Pat of Georgetown; granddaughter, Lori Williamson of Round Rock; granddaughter, Lana Thompson and husband
Tommy and great-grandson Tyler and great-granddaughter
Brooke of Sugar Land, Texas.
“We’ve known so much of happiness
We’ve had our cup of joy.
And memory is one gift of God
That death cannot destroy.”
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the members
of the staff and many friends of Wyoming Springs Assisted
Living in Round Rock.
Burial will be held in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery
in Dallas, Texas.
Mama, I will miss our long phone conversations, our shopping sprees, our travels, but most of all I will miss the unconditional love you always gave me. Although today feels like the end for me, I know it’s the beginning
of your new journey. Until I see you again, I love you!
