Terri Lynn Chapin Dowdy, 47, a homemaker of Roanoke, was born on February 23, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas to Terry Lynn and Linda Sue Chapin. She passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 in Grapevine, Texas. On April 23, 1984, she married John Dowdy in Fort Worth, Texas. Terry loved animals. She was known for taking in stray animals by feeding, loving, and giving them a good home.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Pavilion at the Sanger Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, John and their son, Brandan Jay Dowdy of Roanoke; a sister, Lori Shane Perry of Grand Prairie; grandmother, Lynette "Momo" Hudson of Fort Worth; nieces, Sadie Perry, Loren Perry and Violet Perry and nephew, Christian Perry.
